Restaurants in Marmaris

This is a good question… There are so many different types of restaurants and that’s not meant as in cuisine.  Traditionally restaurants are meant for dining and having good conversation with your sweetheart, family or friends.  Well that’s not quite the case here in Marmaris.

You have your common restaurant atmosphere in most places but there are those that offer a combination of events. Well, quite honestly you don’t just go there to eat, but are entertained by the staff and hired performers during your dining experience. This can be suitable for some while others may be disturbed.

Before you decide to sit down and think about what to eat, make sure that the restaurant is the right type of atmosphere you are looking for.

Where are the Restaurants in Marmaris ?

Quiet Restaurants

The more quieter restaurants are located along the main Marmaris beach promenade and in between streets closest to the beach about 150 meters away and also in the Marmaris marketplace (Carsi). From fine dining, local diners such as doner and kebabs to fast food and pizza restaurants. While most of these restaurants are in central Marmaris, you can find steak houses, Chinese food restaurants in Long Beach.

Restaurants with Entertainment

These types of restaurants are usually located below the small hotels and apart hotels near the beach side neighborhoods of Cildir, Armutalan and Siteler districts.  They are geared at entertainment like Turkish Night (usually on Tuesdays), break dancing …yes break dancing, karaoke, and other performing acts.  You can also find these types of restaurants along the Long Beach promenade.

Please keep in mind that although there is a law for ‘no hassle’ customer service, you will find that some restaurants will approach you as you pass by to persuade you to come in a dine in their restaurant.  Their menus are usually on large boards at the entrance.  Have a look at the menu and the establishment first and then decide whether to dine there or not.
