Festivals in Marmaris

In addition to outdoor activies and watersports, boat trips and daily tours, nightlife and restaurants and Marmaris Blue Cruise gulet charters, exploring festivals in Marmaris that are held at different times throughout the year is a pleasant alternative to your holidays in Marmaris Turkey.

In May there are two festivals held.  One is the Youth & Spring Festival held during the second week of May.  While the other is the Marmaris Yacht Charter Festival by Netsel Marina during the middle of May each year.

In 2011 during the last week of June is the Motorcycle Festival held at the Gunnucek Beach in Marmaris.

Then during the last week of October and the first week of November, you can experience the famous Annual International Regata, otherwise known as the Marmaris Yacht Race Festival.

The Presidential Cycling Tour is not quite a festival, but if you happen to be here in Marmaris during the month of May, you may just see it. The crowds collect along the main street to see professional cyclers from around the world as they speed along the main streets of Marmaris. The tour is held in 8 stages. The 1,387-kilometre route starts in Istanbul and continues south towards the Aegean resorts of Kusadasi, Bodrum, Marmaris, Pamukkale and Fethiye, and makes its way east to Finike, Tekirova, Manavgat, and Side. The race finally draws to an exciting finish in Alanya on the Mediterranean coast.
