It’s Great to be Alive… in Marmaris

It has been since August that I hadn’t had a chance to write something wonderful about Marmaris. I thought that today would a good day to put the work pc aside and do what I enjoy very much – and that is to write about a place that is loved by thousands of people each year – people who hold a high adoration to Marmaris and don’t necessarily all live here – like me.  Today is a great day. I have turned the twin double digits and quite happy about it actually. Well enough about me…   I am very grateful today (just as I am everyday) to be living in Marmaris – a true jewel of the Carian coast.

For each season that goes by (and I have lived a great many seasons here), Marmaris seems to go deeper into my heart. It could be that others share this wonderful feeling along with me making it even more pleasurable to be here.  I also see this joy and love for Marmaris on my facebook page. I put one photo up and I see the “likes” and comments rolling in. Why? Because it’s a photo of Marmaris.  Every season in Marmaris is just a pleasant as the next. There is a special character unique to the seasons that arrive. Whether its the visitors from around the globe that come and go, the nature that we wake up to each day, the never-ending wonderful climate, or the many places we can go to be entertained – it’s simply so heavenly to be here.  If you live close enough to the waterfront or visited Marmaris before, you will know what I mean.

The heartbeat of Marmaris is the centrum as it is in many cities around the world. But if you’re not in the mood for crowds and the sounds of traffic; our Marmaris has the most amazing beaches, villages and towns this side of the Turkish Mediterranean. Even in the summer time these places are not over crowded with mass tourism.  It’s just the right volume to enjoy the delights each and every little village and town has to offer.  From water sports galore to ancient architectural ruins; from peaceful waterfront dining to partying until the sun comes up – Marmaris is - in my world – is the place to be!

There is so much to say about Marmaris, that a blog like this one would have to “chapter” itself to fit all the treasures we are fortunate to share in Marmaris.  So to sum it all up, I would have to say that…

It’s great to be alive… in Marmaris!
